To preserve the rich culture and heritage of Udaipur, Mohanlal Sukhadiya University has taken an initiative to establish a museum in the college campus with an estimated budget of Rs.100 crores. This museum will display certain artifacts and objects related to art, culture and heritage. The university has sent an invitation to Heritage Point Private Limited in Ahmedabad.
The university and Heritage Point will work together to build the museum. According to Mr. Amit Doshi, who is the director of Heritage Private Limited it is estimated that about Rs 100 crores will be spent in the overall process of construction as well as putting artifacts in it. The company will bear the total cost of the museum. The university will provide land for the museum. The money coming from the visitors who will visit this museum will be shared between the company and university.
According to the proposal the museum will be home to certain ancient paintings, ceramics, rare photographs, ancient coins, Gem stone craft, ancient religious texts and books, momentos, railway and automobile souvenirs, autographs or famous people as well as ancient wooden and marble art of Rajasthan.
To start the museum on the auspicious day like the Golden Jubillee of  University will be a great achievement for us. The invitation  will be kept on Board of Management.
